Every dog grooming appointment includes the following:
• Brush Out • Nails Clipped
• Haircut If Desired • Sanitary Areas Cleaned/Trimmed
• Bath - Shampoo & Condition • Paws Cleaned/Shaved Between Pads
• Warm Air Blow Dry • Lots of TLC
• Ears Cleaned/Plucked (If needed - usually Poodles & Poodle-Mix Breeds)
How long does the grooming process take?
Most mobile grooming appointments are completed within 1 – 2 hours depending upon breed, size, and
condition of your dog. Larger, hairier breeds may take up to 2-3 hours
Do you need to hook your van up to my house for water or electricity?
No, the van is fully self-contained. All I need is a place to park!
How often should my dog be groomed?
Depending upon breed, it is recommended that your dog be groomed every 4-6 weeks. Some breeds
may need to be groomed more often. I will recommend how often your dog should be groomed at the
completion of your first grooming appointment.
Can I schedule recurring appointments?
Yes, in fact, I encourage this. This way you can always count on me being at your home or office
at the same time on a specific day of the week. I book appointments in advance for many of my
4-legged clients and it is usually best to at least schedule your next appointment after your
current grooming is complete.
How old does my puppy have to be before I can have him/her groomed?
It is recommended that puppies have no less than their second set of booster shots (usually 12 weeks old) before their first grooming appointment.
Can I stay with my pet while he/she is being groomed?
No and this is not because I am mean!! Generally speaking, most dogs behave better and are less anxious when their parents are not present but please come take a look at the van before or after grooming - you are more than welcome!!
Is there a weight limit?
I don’t have any breed restrictions, however there is a weight restriction of 90 lbs. I regret that InstaGroom is unable to accommodate extra large breeds, be they long or short haired. Afghans, Great Danes, Newfies, Great Pyrenees, St. Bernards, Russian/Irish Wolfhounds, etc., or corded dogs such as Comondores and Pulis - I simply don't have enough space for these beautiful but bigger-than-the-tub-can-handle breeds.
Price depends on many variables including but not limited to breed, the size of your dog, coat condition & thickness, temperament, and if your dog is elderly or has special needs. When I speak with you I will ask various questions including:
• Dog’s Breed or Mixed Breed Make-up • Dog's Age, Weight & Size \
• General Description of Temperament • Coat Condition
• Length of Time since Last Grooming • Current Vaccinations
• Any Special Needs (i.e. if you dog has any medical conditions or if your pet is
elderly, or physically-challenged)
Then based on the answers to these questions will quote you a price for the grooming.
